This is one square of the cotton Nestlets |
I recently tried out a bedding product called Nestlets on my rats. Nestlets is a paper product that is formed into small white squares (about 2 inches by 2 inches) and about one-quarter inch thick. The squares come on large sheets and are perforated for easy use. I gave a few of these squares to a cage of female rats ranging in age from 4 months to 18 months. The girls found it great fun to rip up the bedding and move in around the cage into piles. I also gave some squares to a cage of male rats all around 10 months of age. They too enjoyed making nests with the squares.
