Your ears are like a butterfly
So delicate and fine
Translucent in the spring-time sun
But dark in their design.
With fur so soft, like satin cloth
The color of champagne
Edges dipped in chocolate dark
Nose, feet, and tail the same.
The setting sun’s reflected in
Your eyes alert and bright
Busy whiskers bristling
You are a stunning sight.
Gracefully you move along
When you are on the go
So like a flower in the wind
Blowing gently to and fro.
And when you’re sleeping—oh so snug
A little ball so tight
You wake up like a blooming bud
Blinking in the light.
