GPS Rat
The Israel Blind Mole Rat (a.k.a. Middle East Blind Mole Rat or Palestine Mole Rat)
(Spalax ehrenbergi) has its own built-in GPS
by using the earth’s magnetic field to monitor its course.
This allows it to burrow around obstacles without ever coming into contact with them thereby eliminating costly navigational mistakes.
